Writing Journal 14: Cell phones

10.23 AM.

Oh, cell phones, what would we do without them? Be happier, probably. Technology is such a great thing when used for good, but when it's not... might be the most destructive thing ever.

I love my phone, but I feel so liberated when I'm not carrying it with me... no worries about someone taking to you and feeling entitled to an answer only because it's through WhatsApp or Telegram, so that means you can't ignore them... When I walk the dog, near home, I usually go without my phone. You don't want to be picking up dog mess while you have your phone and your keys in your other hand... things could become... something I wouldn't want to happen. Well, is in those walks when I feel most happy, no one to bother me with stupid questions about homework or exams.

But then, they're also useful. I can't imagine taking the bus without my phone, an hour spent without reading or listening to music... God, it would be awful. Or knowing that my brother, who lives in London, is alright because I've seen him on the Find My app and he's walking through Hyde Park. Or talking to him on Telegram or FaceTime without paying anything...

Cell phones have become addictive for most people, I've actually been run over by people on the street who wouldn't stop looking at their phones. Nevertheless, I must admit that I have been writing this on my phone, so...
