Writing Journal 22: My Favourite Food

 10.16 AM.

I love food, so choosing only one thing is basically impossible, but I'm going to try!

Everything my grandma cooks tastes likes heaven to me. Her French fries are just amazing! She cuts the potatoes "a lo pobre", so very thin circles, basically, and then cooks them in an iron pan, so old that it makes everything taste better (I've told her a lot of times that the only thing I want to inherit is that pan). Then she cooks some fried eggs, sunny side up or however it's said, and I like to dip the fries in the egg yolk. Everyone else in my family will tell you that her paella is the best, but I'm in love with the French fries.

When I'm home I like to cook pasta, lots of different dishes. I ate at my friend's a few weeks ago and he cooked pasta with pears, truffle, onion and cheese, and it was so tasty! One of my favorites is pasta carbonara, but made the Italian way, not the way we Spaniards cook it. When I went to Greece I tried a lot of different dishes made of pasta with something else, and I didn't think Greeks had so many ways to cook pasta, but they do, and it tastes great! It was always very healthy and tasty, what else can you ask for?

If we're talking sweet things, I will eat anything if it's made with chocolate. Give me a Lindt chocolate and I'm a happy girl.

I just realized that I don't love anything healthy... that's kind of sad hahahaha.
